How should I upgrade from Jaws PDF Creator 2.xx [or earlier] to 4.x or v5.0?
Note: If you have a licence key (serial number) for 2.xx, v3.0-3.4, or v3.6 you will need a version 4 serial number to proceed. Keep a note of your existing license key (serial number) in case you wish to revert to it. Windows: If you have made any custom changes to prologue.ps or pdfcreator.ppd files, keep a backup of these for reference. For v2.11 or above, you may install version 4.0 or version 5.0 over the top of your existing version. This will retain any custom configurations you may have. For versions earlier than 2.11 and for v3.0, it is recommended that you uninstall first. Reboot your machine. If you experience any errors when creating your first PDF file, please uninstall v4.x/v5.0, reboot your machine and then reinstall v4.x/v5.0.
