How should I transition my Program Based Design church to the pure Cell church model?
Transitioning a Program Based Design church must begin with a focus on leadership. We suggest that you begin with a core group of three leaders and yourself. This parallels Jesus’ leadership model with Peter, James and John. These men (or women) will be mature Christians who are firm in their faith, Bible knowledge, and have a heart for the lost. They should have a call on their life to shepherd, and potentially will be Zone Pastors as the church reaches out and grows. They must be freed from all other church activities and obligations to make the leadership cell the most important event of their week (they will not be expected or required to participate in any meeting, committee or service other than the Sunday celebration). Cell life will be their focus. Begin to meet with these leaders and their spouses weekly. If the spouse is unwilling or unsure of the direction taken by their husband or wife, rethink your selection.
