Twins, of course, stick together. But my older (by 6 minutes) daughter always was lacking in friends – and when she was younger- early elementry, we tried everything. We were Homeschooling then, so we joined YMCA soccer teams, did the ballet thing, tried this and that. It took us a long time to realize that my daughter wasn’t even goiing to make friends with the ones I was offering her – because she was lots smarter than any of them – maybe smarter than her sister – although I think that’s more personality than anything – and she throught all those soccer kids and ballet kids and everything else kids were dumb – that didn’t stop her from wanting friends, of course, she just couldn’t make friends with them. I observed this when she was in third grade at a soccer game – she was playing, pretty unmotivated, but out there because Mom and Dad said – her sister was on the other team (we decided …Maybe if we seperate them … – that wasn’t a good idea, by the way – and I watched her.
