How should I take Voltaren Gel?
Use Voltaren gel exactly as prescribed. The dose for your hands, elbows, or wrists is 2 g each time you apply it (total of 8 g) and 4 g for your knees, ankles, or feet (total of 16 g). Apply Voltaren gel 4 times a day. Apply the gel to clean, dry skin. Do not use heating pads or apply bandages to where you have applied Voltaren gel. Do not use sunscreens or any other cosmetics on the same skin area where the gel is applied, and do not expose the skin where the gel is applied to sunlight and artificial lights.
