Darkness specced runemasters don’t have quite the range of runecarving specced runemasters, but have spells that cast faster. The general pattern for soloing a darkness-specced Runemaster is DD-DD-DD-quickcast DD if needed That will take care of just about any blue or yellow CON creature. If there are resists, you may need to DD-DD-Root-back off-DD-DD-quickcast DD or some variant thereof. The damage add that dark specced RMs get even makes it viable to finish a creature with your staff in some cases. But this is risky, and is not advised.
