To install Sophos Anti-Virus on Windows 95/98/Me, Windows NT/2000/XP, Macintosh, Linux, OS/2 or NetWare, follow the installation guide for the platform concerned. For other platforms follow the installation instructions in the relevant manual. Server-based network installation takes place in three stages: • First a ‘store’ of the software is established in the Central Installation Directory (CID) from the CD. • Then a server installation to service the workstations is made from this central installation. • Finally the workstations themselves are installed from the CID (remotely in some cases).
