How should I protect my Key Chains from getting rusted….???

Your best bet is to keep them from getting wet in a climate controlled area. An air conditioned bedroom vs. a humid garage. For further protection, or if a controlled climate isn’t available, consider the following: A light spray with a multipurpose oil, such as WD-40 (available at hardware stores) works wonders. I use it with my hand tools, which stay in the humid garage and I have no problems with rust… You can wipe any excess with a paper towel if desired. To restore some rusted ones, try soaking them for a few minutes in WD-40 (works wonders, doesn’t it?) and rubbing the surface with a rag, or scrub sponge. This may or may not be entirely effective, but it will certainly help some. The WD-40 is safe with metals, but may absorb into wood, cloth, leather, etc. so be careful of any overspray!
