How Should I Migrate Wws 2.0 From A Windows 2003 Sbs To Another Standard Windows 2003 Server ?

I am replacing my Windows 2003 SBS Server with a Windows 2003 Standard Domain Server. I also purchased MOSS 2007. I setup a Windows 2003 Server test server with WSS 2.0 so I can test using stsadm.exe to restore the Windows 2003 SBS WSS 2.0 to the new server then inplace upgrade to WWS 3.0 then an inplace upgrade to MOSS 2007. I never have migrated Sharepoint content or used stsadm.exe, I can’t find very detailed documentation on this; Does anybody experience with this scenario think I’m taking the right approach and can anyone offer help restoring SBS WSS 2.0 databse to the new server with stsadm.exe I can’t get it to work, I’m not sure where the stsadm backup file needs to he placed when I use stsadm.exe etc.
