How should I care for and clean the stainless steel surfaces of Bradley Accessories?
Routine cleaning can be accomplished with soap, ammonia, or mild detergent and water applied with a sponge or soft cloth, rinsed with clear water and wiped dry. Occasional spot cleaning can be accomplished with a stainless steel cleaner or household cleanser and a soft cloth or Scotch Brite® pad. Take care to follow the grain of the stainless and rinse the cleaner off completely with clear water. Highly polished stainless steel surfaces scratch easily and may be scratched or dulled by cleaning. The use of harsh cleaners such as muriatic acid and bleach or chlorine containing compounds can permanently damage stainless steel surfaces. These chemicals must be immediately rinsed off the stainless steel with clear water to prevent pitting, discoloration or corrosion. Repeated exposure to these chemicals can cause the stainless steel to appear “rusty”. This discoloration can be removed with cleaner and a Scotch Brite® pad.
