How should early neoplasia in Barrett esophagus be treated?
The choice of treatment method for patients with neoplasia in Barrett esophagus is highly dependent on the stage of disease. Patients with high-grade dysplasia and early mucosal esophageal cancer should be treated endoscopically whereas those with submucosal infiltration or lymph-vessel or blood-vessel invasion are candidates for radical esophageal resection.
