How should candidates planning to avail of DoPT sponsorship apply?
Candidates planning to avail of DoPT sponsorship should apply without waiting for the sponsorship to materializeby mentioning at the appropriate location in the application form that they are applying for DoPT sponsorship. APPLICATION MUST BE MADE TO THE IIMA. The DoPT has its own criteria for sponsorship. Candidates are advised to discuss their eligibility with the DoPT. It is better if a copy of their application to IIMA is enclosed in their application to the DoPT for sponsorship. Note that DoPT in its agreement with IIMA has agreed to sponsor a few candidates who are able to clear IIMA’s selection process and are awarded admission. The fee for DoPT sponsored candidates will be covered under the DoPT guidelines. DoPT sponsored candidates would also go through CAT/GRE/GMAT or the specially designed test.
