How should boxed eggs be labelled?
Each pack or box must bear a label, with this information:- • Packers name and address, plus his registration number • The weight grade – See above • Best Before Date • The quality class (normally ‘A’) • Other dates indicated – “Packing Date”, “Display Until” or “Laying Date” are optional at present • Number of eggs in pack • Any treatment undergone since laying, e.g. refrigeration • “Consumers – keep refrigerated after purchase”.
