How should a Soldier or family member book a flight so as to meet during the Soldier’s R&R leave?
Usually it is best for the family member to book their flight after the Soldier has received leave orders for R&R and have booked their commercial flight. Unfortunately, things can always change which can make it difficult to plan trips during R&R leave. It is a good idea to look into purchasing travel insurance so that you do not loose the tickets in the event that a Soldier’s R&R leave orders change.
