How should a RenoSys PVC Pool Shell be cleaned?
Since every pool is slightly different in terms of the chemical composition of surface buildup, we suggest you buy a small bottle of several cleaners to see what works best on your pool. That said, the best overall plan to clean a drained pool is to water blast the pool at about 3500 psi, being very careful not to get the spray head too close (you can cut the liner if not careful). You can subsequently use any orange citris based cleaner, Softscrub with chlorox, or Fantastic to clean the scum line. Particularly nasty spots can be spot cleaned with MEK or Acetone (but use sparingly). C.L.R. works well for some types of stains and for rust marks you can use Ascorbic Acid. As always, be sure to use a vapor mask, follow manufacturer’s recommendations, NEVER mix any chemicals, and remember it is not elbow grease that makes a chemical reaction work; you have to leave them on for a while to allow them to do their job.
