HOW SHORT DID BASKETBALL SHORTS USED TO BE?

Former Yellowjackets who played on men’s basketball teams between 1957 and 1977 and are looking to jog some memories are only a VCR and a remote control away from reliving their hoop dreams. Men’s basketball coach Mike Neer and his staff are selling videotape copies of 16mm. game film from that era as a fund-raiser for recruitment efforts within the program. Each tape costs $50 (the price includes shipping and handling). Neer hopes the videos of past glories will spark fond memories for alumni basketball players, who are an important link in Neer’s recruiting program. “We’re trying to have some fun,” Neer says. “But we’re also trying to stir up some good feelings for the school among former players and help them reconnect with the current program.” The first set of videos includes 46 games, beginning with the 1957-58 season. At least one game from each successive season is available up through 1976-77. Neer plans to convert more game film next spring. For more information, contact Mike
