How Serious Has The Executive Energy Shortage Become?
A. In the 2002-2005 Gallop studies, 9% of top executives, nearly one in 10, reported being actively disengaged, meaning they were beyond the point of caring enough to even go through the motions of their work. Whereas, in a 2006 national survey by Harris Interactive Inc., they found that the situation had significantly worsened, and that more than one-third of managers do not care about the fate of their organization, or otherwise reported themselves as actively being disengaged from their work. In a nutshell, workplace energy levels and engagement are at an all-time low.
