How secure is the Handover payment when buying the car ?

I think that when you make payments for the purchase of a used vehicle from the previous owner, you need to make sure that you have a secured channel and method of payment which has proper documentation worked into the transaction. A contract would obviously be the best case scenario, but in the absence of that, you’ll at least need to make sure that legal work and documentation not to mention receipts and other references are accounted for and passed over when the deal is finalised.

100%. If you use our system. A bank cheque payment is made out for the balance of the vehicle in the SELLERS name. This payment is sent direct to VIP Automotive Solutions, where we will go out onsite to the vehicle and perform a final inspection, collect all documentation and complete a Bill of Sale Contract (receipt). Once we are satisfied that all is in order, only then do we handover the Bank Cheque and prepare the vehicle immediately for transport, direct to your driveway. If the vehicle is encumbered with finance, a bank cheque will need to be made out to the Finance Company. Once again, your inspection officer will go with the seller to the finance office and pay-out the balance, whilst at all times keeping an eye on your vehicle and holding the keys. We will forward you all the paperwork along with all receipts. It sure beats giving your hard earned money to a complete stranger and never seeing the car, or receiving a vehicle that is not in the same condition as expected. Tell m
