How Secure is SKYRunner service?
SKYRunner uses spread spectrum frequency hopping technology, which is extremely difficult to intercept. With the Breezecom equipment we use, developed for military use, a special code is used to allow only approved radio clients to associate with an Access Point. Thus, the wireless network is an extremely secure environment. However, keep in mind that the Internet itself is, by definition, an insecure environment! We recommend that all clients using file sharing (or using networks) purchase one of our SKYRouter devices, which provides a basic level of Network Address Translation security. Customers needing a higher level of security (involving encryption of data) should purchase additional firewall protection. SKYRunner can work with whatever security system you have in place.
