How secure is PocketScript?
The PocketScript e-prescriber offers you security on many levels: · The application is password protected at sign-on. · Your signature is captured during each login sequence, which requires password entry if you should leave your handheld logged in, but unused for a period of time. · Each prescription is password-protected and encrypted. · Each prescription has a unique PocketScript ID number associated with it. This number assures the pharmacy that any script received through PocketScript is authentic. Although PocketScript offers all of these safety features, the security of the product is ultimately no more secure than the accessibility of your handheld e-prescriber. In other words, just as you would not leave prescription pads accessible to unauthorized people, never leave a logged-in e-prescriber unattended. For additional safety, when you access the system from a desktop computer, the system always times out after 20 minutes.
