How secure is password protected ZIP file?

if its just someone trying to access the file, then yeah its pretty secure.but you asking if itll stop any password crackers from being able to brute force the password.the answer to that is no.because most of the password cracking programs are programmed to look into the hash file.so any password is hackable but will take longer to do.the password you give is a good example of one to use.you dont wanna use all upercase or all lowercase since those are the most common.if you want you can even mix in some spaces, special characters such as this @#$%^?><.or some numbers.and make sure you make the length at least.... im gonna say 6-10 characters long.well hope this info helped you out dude.but i think youll be fine with what your using.you really should use a rar file instead of zip.its got better compression and better encryption.
