How secure is mednode?
While no one can guarantee that any site is 100% secure, we have gone to great lengths to ensure the integrity of your mednode site both through our server and within the applications we use. All passwords use multiple md5 hashes and hash that up with a unique salt. What this means is that it is next to impossible to decrypt user passwords. There is a built in strike system within the forum software we use. A user attempting access has five attempts to correctly enter a username and password, after which they are denied access for a specified amount of time. Our severs, and the software we use, support .htaccess password protection meaning that if desired, you may incorporate a separate password to gain access to your directory before any application software even loads. You have full and total control of who sees what information. We can even set your site up to disallow robot spidering, thereby greatly reducing the chance your site will even show up as listed on the major search engi
