You should be able to use SQL 2005 Express Edition for 2-3 users comfortably if they are storing only Project related information. If the customer is willing to store more than 4GB of data, they would need to upgrade to the other versions of SQL 2005 – either Workgroup or Standard. SQL Express Edition 2005 – Supports one CPU, but can be installed on any server, 1GB addressable RAM, 4GB maximum database size. http://www.microsoft.com.sql/editions.express/features.
