How safe is the VCU campus?
Safety should be a concern wherever you choose to further your education. There are no longer any campuses anywhere that are unaffected by crime. At any urban university you need to be streetwise and attentive. Do not take chances by walking alone late at night or in unlit areas. Red phones directly linked to the VCU police are closely located throughout the campus and there are free escort services available every evening (828 WALK).
