How safe is Peru, what about terrorism?
Peru is as safe as any country in the world, but of course given the opportunity it is a possibility someone will take the chance, it could happen in any country or city in the world. Peru’s population is made up of different races and customs, being a country where the tourist is welcome no matter his or her race, religion, o customs, you will always be welcome. Peruvians treat the “gringo” which means foreigner very well and are more than willing to answer your questions and help you out. In 1980 Peru had a very large terrorist problem and many lost their lives, but since 1990 terrorism started to be eradicated and after many years it has disappeared from the country.
