How safe is it to send cash in the mail?
A significant amount of the orders we receive are cash orders. Almost all cash orders make it to us successfully. There is always a small risk but taking the time to conceal the cash properly can minimize the risk. If we can tell before we open your order that a letter has cash in it then so can Mr. Zipcode. Don’t be a bonehead and put change in your order. It often breaks the envelope open and falls out leaving an open hole for Ms. Posty to peep through and extrude the remaining money. Even taped coins are easy to feel through an envelope. Plus, if they do make it to us we have to spend 5 minutes peeling the tape off the coins while we curse you. Please don’t send coins! If you need to round up your order to an even dollar order a button or patch or we’ll just throw some stickers in with your order. The best way to send cash is to use as few bills as possible, i.e. use a ten-dollar bill instead of 10 one-dollar bills. Fold the cash inside 2 or 3 pieces so it looks like a letter. It wo
