Security on campus is always tight, and especially so at times of tension. Fully trained (but highly personable!) guards operate around both the dormitory complexes, as well as the Mount Scopus and Givat Ram campuses, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Electronic passes are issued to all students at registration, and are required to gain access to a number of areas around campus. Paths are well lit and, especially in the most modern parts of campus, overlooked by windows in multiple buildings, so that students should feel safe moving around campus at all times of the day and night.
