How safe is a KPI discharge plasma?
• In a typical arc discharge, there is an electrical current that flows through the arc in order to sustain its existence. Interrupting this arc “circuit” via physical contact will most certainly result in shock! KPI discharges are much different. While electrical energy is required to generate the KPI plasma, the resulting plasma is safe to the touch. Physical contact results in little more than the minor sensation of warmth and impulse micro pressures. Furthermore, there are no exposed electrodes so electric shock via external contact is non-existent.
