How safe are the file sharing softwares like Morpheus and Limewire?
I think these P2P file-sharing platforms are only as sophisticated as their user. There is no way for an unsuspecting user to know where or when malware will strike, so it’s up to them to stay savvy about the latest virus, trojan, worm, and other malware going around. Currently, I use Morpheus to share files. I did a little homework and decided that Morpheus was the best choice for my purposes. And, as I have said before, I like Morpheus because it scans files for viruses and so forth after they’ve been downloaded, since you can configure it to work with your anti-virus software. To me, that is a definite plus, because I might otherwise forget to scan a file, and as luck would have it,it’d be infected or mis-labeled.
