How safe are the common dyes used in baby apparel?
The chemical dyes used to colour cotton fabric can contain heavy metals, which pollute water, and have environmental repercussions. A number of commonly used fabric finishes can also be unhealthy. The dyes used on conventional cotton also add more toxins to the clothing thus adding to the fumes a baby breathes when wearing these items.
