How sad that the last survivor of the Titanic has just passed away?

I have just read the sad news and yes it is a shame that she has died. What makes it even sadder is the fact that she had to sell any Titanic items that she had so that she could pay for her care in the nursing home. Good grief what is the matter with people that someone who survives the Titanic has to sell her things just to be cared for in her old age.
