How risky is to install active X control?
Dont do it. Many sites these days asking you to install an active X control are really installing trojans or variants of rogue software (xp Antivrus et al.) If you use Firefox and install the WOT extension you will know if the site is legit or known for bad downloads or content and can decide from there whether you wish to install active x.
