Successful control of a disease depends on the accuracy and timeliness of disease tracing. Thus considerable expert resources will be dedicated to investigating all movements onto infected properties as well as recent movements off an infected property to markets and other properties. A specific “disease tracing” section is set up in each local disease control centre and usually involves local expertise to improve the efficiency of follow up.
