How rich is Rick Warren?
The scripture you cite says it is hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom……but it doesn’t say it is impossible. Secondly, we would assume that Warren chose to enter the Kingdom of God long before he wrote the book and got “rich” so I don’t think I’m understanding the logic of your statement (or question??) Yes, I think I saw reference to a sermon he gave on those verses. But if you are inferring there is something hypocritical at work here, I don’t understand why. The Bible never condemns the idea of becoming rich per se. (It DOES condemn the idea of making money your God or thinking that money will provide one with total safety in life.) And despite the misunderstanding of some, the Bible never says that all of the rich people of the world must give away all of their money for God to accept them.
