How relevant is postal service delivery now with regards to technological advancement in these modern times?
The global changes that have taken place in the world, particularly in the communications industry, such as the advent of electronic mail and the other substitute services that customers enjoy, have all become the composite challenges that the new postal service has had to face. We therefore have changing economic and technological environments coupled with the problem of workforce having to re-align themselves and become responsive to emerging challenges. It is worth remembering that, these are the workforce who have remained in the public service for a very long time and have not known any other brand of work ethics. We are trying to educate enlighten and re-train them to let them understand the transition we are undergoing. The communication industry is such that it changes each day.
