How regional is HKUs MBA Programme?
The HKU MBA thoroughly adopts an experiential-learning approach with a strong Asian focus. Our courses help students explore and apply business principles and models to real-world business problems in China and the region. Specifically, core courses such as economics, accounting and finance, marketing, and strategy are taught using business scenarios and cases based on experiences at well-known Asian companies. These cases are written by our own professors and are published by our Asia Case Research Centre. For instance, the International Business Environment course is structured to examine economic and strategic business issues of specific Asian countries on a weekly basis. In addition, several of our courses often include field trip components in which students travel to China and/ or other Asian countries for visits and meetings with corporate leaders as part of their course experience and assignment.
