How reasonable is it to explain all life’s reality by 5 human senses?
By Pastor Tim Clark Since the Scopes “Monkey Trial” of 1925, the debate between revelation (the idea that God has definitively spoken in scripture) and evolution (the theory that man has arisen through the unexplained mechanism of chance and nearly limitless amounts of time) has raged without sign of abatement. And rightly so, for whichever position one holds regarding these divergent views, an entire worldview must be necessarily adopted and another rejected. If one holds to the idea that the material universe and its inhabitants are nothing more than the byproduct of time and chance, he will be robbed of the comforts provided by scripture — morality, purpose in life and hope beyond death. If on the other hand one holds to the comprehensive worldview presented by the revelation, the notion of a passive, impersonal, non-directed cause for man and his universe must be rejected.
