How real is the movie 300 to the facts in history?
I just watched a whole thing on the history channel about it. It’s actually kind of real. The Spartans used the landscape to their advantage, keeping the Persians on a narrow ledge, so that they would not be overwhelmed by their numbers. The weapons they used were also true to history. They had a double ended/pointed spear. I seriously doubt that they ran around in little shorts in the winter though. The history channel said they had body armor. Luckily for me 🙂 they didn’t wear any in the movie. The movie also fails to emphasize that there were much more than 300 total fighting for the Greeks.
