How rare is a Savannah cat?
Rare enough that there is probably an owner looking for it. The best thing you could do is check shelters to see if one was reported missing and look for missing cat flyers. Texas lists them as dangerous wild animals and requires registration. The state also required all counties to either ban or regulate them. Not sure whether your county has a ban or regulations.
