How quickly are telegrams delivered?
Telegrams are the quickest textual way of communication (except for the Internet, of course). It is widely used for urgent matters. A telegram sent to the Teletype network will be printed out in the post office closest to the recipient in a few hours. According to postal rules, a telegram must be delivered within 6 hours and requires the recipient’s signature. If you are lucky, a postman will deliver it tonight, otherwise on the next day.
