how quick is input of manual points?
You have an option of automating the entire scan process (a quick ‘n’ dirty one click scan if you like) around a room which takes about 20 minutes, but it would be a bit messy (it’ll look like a room surrounded by a badly drawn starfish).Driving the unit manually is much faster, gives a cleaner drawing and is simply a matter of rotating the laser to a given point or feature and pressing a button – the unit makes a ping like a bar code reader and that’s it.. point and squirt..! Most typical rooms take about 10 minutes to draw – that’s draw, not just measure..! The unit does not take any reading whilst being moved manually – it waits to be told when to take the next ping and because of this is much faster.
