A – Because Nextec’s EPIC encapsulation process uses silicone polymers, the fabric is slick and smooth on the underside. Most of today’s waxes and polishes use silicone polymers, and independent testing by Nextec confirms WeatherShield fabric to be less abrasive than even our tan flannel fabric! We always recommend using a cover on a clean car for best results. Use of a “duster” prior to covering a car will add to the length of time between washing.
