Baylor finished the 2008-09 season ranked 10th in the final national rankings. Baylor won the NDT (National Debate Tournament) in 1975, 1987, and 1989. Additionally, Baylor made an appearance in the semi-finals of the national debate tournament at the 1996 tournament. Baylor has one of the largest and oldest programs in all of intercollegiate debate.
