That tells you it is primarily a college awarding Bachelor’s degrees. It has a faculty to student ratio of 1:11, with no TAs teaching classes. The Princeton Review (2007) indicated that 34% of applicants are accepted. 58% of early decision applicants are accepted. These figures are old. Current statistics have probably gotten more competitive. This year, Harvard accepted about 7% of applicants (NYTimes). These figures are an indication of selectivity. One could argue they are not a measure of prestige. The Princeton Review (2007) also reported that Bucknell’s freshman had SAT scores that typically fell into these ranges: CR600-680; M630-710.
