How Prana Operates?
Prana is an energy of life force that is universal in nature-it is omnipresent. At superficial levels it flows through the body to maintain the body and it’s organs. The goal of Pranayama is to increase this life force energy (Prana), so it can penetrate into the ‘hidden’ recesses of the brain. This leads to a heightened state of awareness. There is a reserve of prana which lies dormant within each human. This energy resides at the base of the spine, just above the genital area. This dormant energy is also called ‘pranashakti’ or ‘kundalini’. This Prana runs from the base of the spine (mooladar) up to the third eye center (Ajna chakra). Prana is also distributed to the whole body through different set of nerve channels so it reaches every atom in the body. According to yoga, the body has physical channels and energetic channels. You can think of a lightning bolt striking the ground randomly. If you where to harness this bolt of energy through a wire it would be focused and you could th
