How powerful is the royal family of Great Britain?
You mean, of course, the Royal Family of the United Kingdom. Great Britain is only the largest part of it. 1. No. The Queen does in theory but nobody else does. Princess Anne has been prosecuted and fined several times for speeding. 2. No. Not directly, anyway. The Queen meets with the Prime Minister every week and he may or may not take her advice. On the whole they try and say as little as possible that is controversial as it is part of how “the system works” that they stay out of politics. 3. No. They control none of it. 4. From going out to work, or in the case of the Queen and the Prince of Wales, from the estates that they own. Only the Queen and her husband receive any money from public funds, to pay for their official expenses.
