How performance enhancing drugs affect athletes?
The body’s own natural testosterone stops being manufactured as the synthetic testosterone replaces it. The user is then at risk of his own testerone production never returning to normal. When testerone is thrown out of balance, it can lead to complications in fertility, skin problems, water retention, weaker muscles after discontinuing, severe psychological side effects (mood swings, rage, poor decision making) and the liver can have permanent damage too. The danger of enhancement drugs is their addictive nature- a user must stay on them to continue experiencing the “benefits”.
