I have a love affair with old movies. Mostly the old MGM musicals. I truly don’t think I’ve ever seen one that I disliked. I love them even more now that I have my own child because it’s something that I can watch with her in the room and not have to worry about the images or the clothes that they are wearing or the actions of these movies. They are all wholesome family fun. Plus my child just loves them. Monday morning we signed up for Tap dancing class and she is just so excited because Mommy can sing and she can dance and we’ll be just like Gene Kelly. She likes Gene Kelly best because he danced with Jerry mouse in a movie. I love Fred Astaire, Ginger Rodgers, Gene Kelly and all the rest of the stars. Mostly I love Judy Garland. I know that she had her own problems and everything but man could she belt it out. Also…she just put on a great show.
