well if your hamster gave birth to the baby then wait 2-3 weeks to pick them up but if you bought this baby then wait for it to settle in its house for a day and night and then hold it 🙂 hope i helped x

As soon as possible. However I first picked up my hamster about 3-4 months after I got it. My taming process was very long I just wanted him to be very calm when being picked him up not just pick him up straight away with him being scared of me. Feed them some food from your hand so they realise that your hand is a good thing. After doing this for a few days, you can start to gently stroke the hamster without picking it up yet so it gets used to being touched. Then after yet more days, you can gently pick it up inside the cage. Then you can take him out of the cage whenever you feel comfortable. Be careful not to drop the hamster and never wake it up to play. Wait until it is fully awake and is not eating or drinking. Hope I helped! Good luck with your hamster.
