How old must you be to work magic in sneakers?
Working magic has nothing to do with age; although I don’t reccommend that an 8 year old who isn’t familiar with what magic really is, go out and perform a High Magic Ceremony willy nilly… and magic only has a little bit to do with clothing. There are disagreements about how exactly clothing affects magic, but you’re right that it does… Whether or not you wear shoes, depends on what type of magic you are doing. For example, a barefoot ceremony helps you to ground with the Earth energies… however, if you are doing an intellectual spell, being barefoot doesn’t really matter. I say this repeatedly to my students in my Coven: “You should always tailor your magic to your intent.” And also “Use the appropiate correspondences.” Really the same goes for prayer too. Let’s say you do a spell for prosperity… it wouldn’t be a good idea to chant “I’m so poor, poor, poor… why am I so poor…” instead it would be better to use a jar of pennies, or place a 20$ bill in a hat, and ask the gods
