How old must my child be to ride a trailercycle?
A. The Burley trailercycles are recommended for children from four to ten years of age. The age may vary for each rider, depending on their ability to fit on the trailercycle and hold securely to the handlebars. A note to parents: even though your child may be riding their own two-wheeled bicycle, keep your Burley trailercycle, as you’ll discover your child can ride longer distances while riding with you. If your child is physically or mentally impaired, consult your physician as to whether your child can safely ride. When riding, we recommend that you stop frequently, starting out with shorter rides and building up to longer rides after you both get more comfortable. Instruct your child to remain alert, and to keep their feet on pedals and hands on to handlebars at all times.
